The path from childhood to youth of Wagner Freitas doesn't differ from the histories of other people that had to strugle, together with the family, for a decent life. Although, what matters is where the overcoming of his cultural environment and the awakening of his vocation took him.

The creativity, the talent and the esthetical sense - natural gifts - manifested themselves very early in the artist. Throughtout his personal growth, these gifts were also carved by the environment where he lived.

In youth, Wagner started his studies in painting. The fun of the paints, the possibility of turning blots into emotional figures wasn't enough for the artist's boiling soul, who wished more space for exploring his creative mind. Little by little, he was surrending himself to crafting iron scraps into works of art that already showed tendencies from his Minas Gerais roots. Then, to reach prestige and to develop his artistic identity didn't take long.

His great opportunity came with the comprehension that the artistic work could be directed to supply an increasing demand in Brazil: the creation and production, with different kind of materials, of furniture and art objects. His atelier became then, the Spiral Móveis e Objetos de Arte.

In the beginning, the exclusivity were the works made with metal scraps. The recognition was imediate, making the colection more diversified and a new row of materials to be explored. The religious sense, the fashion, the architecture, from ancient to modern times. The metal, the wood, the fabric, the nature, from raw materials to scraps. All become the starting point for the development of art by Wagner Freitas.

Is magical how he's able to imagine an object, in all of its details, even before putting them on paper. Using a simple language, the artist offers to the eyes of the visitors of Spiral Móveis e Objetos de Arte, a sensation of magnetism with his work.

Being among his works, it's not hard to understand that Wagner Freitas works with passion. Passion that is revealed by the artist-entrepreneur when he shares his time among creating, making, managing and stablishing comercial relations, besides taking care personaly of every detail of his creations and everything produced in the atelier.

Obviously, a dream so big doesn't come true on its own. Wagner can count on several collaborators, that dedicate their time in Spiral to make real what he imagines.

Such work and dedication enabled the conquest of spaces that exceeded Brazil's frontiers. Nowadays his pieces are largely saled in USA and Europe.

Through his history and personal growth, the artist built a solid enterprise, from where emerge innovative creations that makes him recognized as a icon in decoration in Brazil.
